Day 4 Midday Check-In
Friday, March 13, 2015 4:17 p.m.
I received two emails today regarding yesterday’s happenings. I thought I would share with you the photos they’ve sent.
For today, Curt feels like he is half a day behind schedule. He is going to put in a few longer days to make up for the delay caused by the difficulties of Kane Gap.
He has a tight schedule to keep. He is meeting up with Givan Fox, son of Dr. John Fox, at Martin Station, VA. Givan will be hiking the remaining portion of the trip with him. Dr. Fox’s six years of research, and prior research of Neal O. Hammon, has been invaluable in maintaining the accuracy of this hike. Together, the two men have numerous spots where they will be meeting with groups along the way to share information about Boone Trace and this expedition.
If you’ll allow me to speak as a wife for a moment, I’ve been so encouraged by the number of people supporting this trip. I sincerely thank those that have emailed me, offered your phone numbers, and promised assistance if needed. This has become an amazing journey for my husband! I’m excited for him to join with Givan. With his most recent job title being that of Black Hawk paramedic, and an avid hiker with a similar love for the outdoors, I know Curt’s health and spirits will be in good hands!
